I used to be a Quiznos franchise owner. Closed the store at the 4 year mark. Never made a dime of profit and was never going to make a dime profit. The corporate business model for Quiznos is designed to maximize the corporate profits. Individual store owners that even make a profit are looking at a net, personal income of $35-40K per year working 75-90 hours a week. In our city there were 12 stores in August 2009. In April 2010 there are now 2. The food is great but the owners cannot make money so YES, you will see wild swings in the level of interest and customer service between stores. You have to make money with a business to build it and Quiznos is just a lousy business for the individual. So, stay away from ownership. Avoid the SMASH BURGER as well...

The Quiznos in Muskego, WI. does not give free water either and when I inquired about it I was told it was due to kids coming in and asking for free water all of the time, which I can understand. But to deny paying customers free water is wrong.

Tried the $5 foot long, will not return very poorly put together and
wasn't anything as advertised. Subway is twice the size and ingredients
are so much more and better.
