Not only that But, ont he bottom of that coupon it states, EXCEPT opening a new Macy's account. EXTRA SAVINGS APPLIED TO REDUCED PRICES.

They are claiming that the the cap on Mattresses is only $100.00. No where on the coupon does it state that. When I called customer service they said the coupon isnt even valid on Matresses ??? then why would you give me $100.00 off ???? on a $1700.00 order ??? does anyone know how to get answers???

Try looking at the signs at JC Penney sometime. I caught them posting prices on
a rack sign lower than the acutal discount at the register. Talk about deceptive
advertising. This was in several places in the store.

This is similar to when retailers advertised something on sale but they were always "out of stock". Their main goal is to get you to go to their store and buy something else except that this way they don't have to issue any rainchecks.

Like the coupon says, a "selection of sale and clearance purchases". I wonder which selection that is because I tried to buy a clearance shirt and the coupon was not accepted. Annoying that it doesn't include all apparel clearance. There's no way to know ahead of time. Very annoying and time consuming.

Like one of the earlier commenters said, take your selected items to the checkout counter, try the coupon, and if it works, purchase the item(s). If it doesn't work, leave it at the counter and walk away. When the clerks have to spend a big portion of the day handling 'go-backs', maybe their manager will notice their un-productive day, along with lower than usual sales volumes. Somebody, somewhere 'should' notice.

What the Big Print giveth, the small print taketh away.

"Unlimited" (with a 5gB cap) data plans for cell phones? Same idea.
