AT&T’s Free iPhone Pro 17 Has a High Price Tag

All the major cell carriers are offering free deals on the new Apple iPhone 17 Pro cellphone to get you to switch to them.

Particularly obnoxious is the AT&T offer.

They make a point of saying that you don’t have to enroll in their most expensive plan in order to get the free phone… great!

The almost unreadable fine print even on a 55-inch TV, enlarged below, discloses the real deal.

Looking at the various plans offered by AT&T, their $75.99 plan (before taxes and fees) is not the most expensive. It is the second most expensive plan!

Given that you can get unlimited plans for between $25 and $30 without a “free” phone at some carriers, thanks for nothing, AT&T.

  1. Well you are going to pay for that phone one way or the other.

No 30 buck a month plan and a FREE iphone pro 17 for you.

  2. I’ve noticed over the last several years that they’ve moved to 36-month contracts as well instead of 24-month. That way you’re locked into the plan even longer than before.

Meanwhile you can get comparable coverage from Mint Mobile or Visible for $30/mo.

  3. AT&T international is a joke, when three of us went to South Africa, my AT&t was worthless, but I was changed for something, got an eSIM had to. Verizon had a plan for their customer and she called home lots, other person had Mint paid $6 a month for International calling he called home lots. I was charged 13 for something but my phone never worked u til I paid $25 for the eSIM
Think I will be moving on.

    • Jay…. Keep in mind the $300 prepay option now has a companion deal. $20 a month plus taxes and fees. Not clear if rollover applies or not.

  4. Hello! Beef chuck is on sale at Whole Foods this week…20 percent off the regular price of $9.99/lb with a Prime membership. Even at regular price it’s cheaper than Shaws!
