These Eyeglasses Automatically Adjust to Your Vision?

NoBlu eyeglassesIt must be a miracle. NoBlu Vision claims that their eyeglasses automatically adjust to your vision. [See their NoBlu-glasses video.]

Nearsighted, farsighted, it doesn’t matter. “Gone are the days of eye tests and endless lens changes,” the site claims.

Automatically adapts

Could any of this be true? MrConsumer contacted an optometrist who is a former member of the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Optometry, Dr. David Schurgin, and asked him that very question.

The good doctor called the company twice and got different answers each time. The first representative said the glasses adjust to near and far by sliding them up or down your nose.

The second rep said that these glasses were not adjustable and are just for viewing a television or a computer. That is mentioned nowhere on the website.

The website also claims the glasses filter UV and blue light. But, the doctor was told the lenses were made of glass which he says is unlikely because glass does not usually block UV light unless they are sunglasses.

Our optometrist concluded, “The only adapting of the lenses are that they change to a darker color when exposed to UV light or sunlight.”

We wanted to verify if the nearly perfect five-star TrustScore at the top of the website was a genuine reflection of consumer reviews:

Trust score

But, looking at Trustpilot, the website that establishes the TrustScore based on actual consumer reviews, the company has very few reviews and a low rating.

Lastly, the website boasts a string of big name media logos on it suggesting the product has been written up by all these respected media entities. We could find no evidence of that.

Oddly, another version of their website has eliminated all references to the glasses automatically adjusting to one’s vision. It still shows that it received five-star reviews but it omits the TrustScore identifier.

Needless to say, we think you need to cast a skeptical eye on this product. And in the doctor’s opinion, “what a ripoff.”

  1. If it sounds too good to be true (and this sounds WAY too good to be true) – it’s probably B.S. This doesn’t come close to passing the smell test. If this really wasn’t a scam, these would be flying off shelves and other glasses sales would drop precipitously. TINA (Truth in advertising) should be all over this.

  2. I clicked the link and read their entire advertisement. NEVER a mention as to HOW these modern-day miracles ACTUALLY work. HOW do they know when one is looking near or far or in-between? MIRACULOUS!

  3. Trustpilot themselves earns a Trust score of ZERO. Most of the reviews are fake, and they also play the Pay-to-Play game. After you finish with these, you can get the matching Sea Monkeys, Big Muscles and X-Ray Specs from the back of the same comic book

    • Those positive reviews aren’t from Trustpilot. They’re made up by the seller. If you look up the business on Trustpilot you’ll see that the reviews are all one star, except for a single review.

  4. When I look at the site (6/2/25) I still see the TrustScore and the description that says that it automatically adjusts to your vision.

Their website also has marketing disclaimers at the bottom in a light gray font over a lighter gray background, but it’s meaningless gibberish.

It’s very generous of Trustpilot to give it a 1.4 rating, seeing as 46 of the 47 reviews were one star.

  5. This is the type of product one used to see advertised in the Weekly World News alongside articles like ‘Bat Boy Found in Cave’ and ‘Alien Meets With Bill Clinton’. Apparently YouTube is the 2025 equivalent of that old grocery checkout staple!

  6. Well I bought them but think it was from a different company. They didn’t work so I wanted to return them, They only wanted to give me partial of my money back, we went back and forth about that in email, then I got mad and told them that if I didn’t get a return label and all my money back I would post to all my FB friends and the other places I’m on about their customer service and a product that doesn’t work. Got my money back and they didn’t even want the glasses back. Their name is Vizmaxx self adjusting glasses.

  7. Ordered 1 then it changed to 4 as I checked out hell no contacted seller but no answer, sent email to correct but said it had already shipped in 5 minutes after order(con) I got them and they are plastic put them on nothing but a blur, and Chinese writing on label, made in USA, lies want my money back
